Lectures

The current lectures are Beads Along the American Frontier and The Beads in Beadwork: The Seed Bead Story, and Middle Eastern Glass Beads: A New Paradigm.
Lectures on other topics can be arranged.

I have never kept track of how many lectures I have given on beads. I know the first ones were "Beads in Iran," at the American Cultural Center, the British Council and at a private home in Isfahan, Iran in 1977. In 1979, I made my first Lecture Tour to the three existing Bead Societies. They were in the West and I was in the East. I went across country and returned by bus. What an experience! I have not done it since.

As you might imagine, I can deliver and have delivered fully illustrated lectures on many bead topics. If a special topic is requested, it puts a greater load on me in terms of "slide management" and practice time.

When I give lectures at particular venues, I usually also present Bead Identification Workshops. If you would like to book me for a lecture, e-mail me at the Office.
